It all started between the pages of my highschool newspaper . . .

In highschool, I loved photography. You could always find me deep within the campus dark room, hidden between layers of emulsion and photographic paper and occasionally I even went out on assignment with my highschool newspaper. I took every

class they had, which was as extensive as photo 1 AND photo 2! However it wasn't until I decided to take my camera, a Ricoh 35mm equipped with 2 lenses, a flash and a bag of Film, with me to Europe that I realized that I was hooked and would one day make photography my profession. I had just graduated from UCLA when I decided to live and work in London for a year. I traveled throughout Egypt and most of Eastern/Western Europe, my camera never left my side. I realized that as long as you were patient and aware, there was then a world of emotion waiting to be be captured. I was motivated most by the candid moments, expressions that occurred within an everyday atmosphere- routines, nuances, and idiosyncrasies. It was this year of travel that paved my way to finding Portrait and wedding photography. Upon returning to the States I began working with a few well-known photographers and perfected my style as well as my confidence.
Today, I understand how important it is to have a photography team who's primary focus is not only art but personality as well. They must be professional, positive, alert, aware, and ready to go at a moments notice. I understand this because Ive been there. For our big day, I looked to my own team for coverage. I knew they had a similar eye and I trusted them. I cannot tell you how important it is to like, love and trust your photographer because your going to be working with them for awhile. They are the eyes of expression behind your day and will be the story-tellers behind your album. Your team of Photographers should feel like family, which is our primary aim with the JCP family.
